Moughenda Village
Traditional Bwiti Initiations in Gabon
A living spiritual tradition. Initiations, facilitator training, and rites of passage at the source of Iboga.
ABOUT THE TRADITION
The work at Moughenda Village is guided by the lineage of Moughenda Mikala, a traditional Bwiti teacher dedicated to preserving and transmitting the ancestral framework of the practice.
The Bwiti tradition integrates:
Iboga is never isolated from its ritual, moral, and cosmological context.
The ceremony is not the product.
The tradition is the container.
WHY COME TO GABON?
Iboga does not come from a laboratory. It comes from the forest.
For generations, the Bwiti tradition has preserved a sacred relationship with Iboga — not as a substance, but as a spiritual teacher embedded within a complete ceremonial framework.
Moughenda Village is not a retreat center. It is a traditional village rooted in transmission, lineage, and responsibility.
Here, initiation is not consumed. It is received.
